Seahawks' Russell Okung Out For Season
It was evident that Pete Carroll wanted to make his offensive line the cornerstone of his football team. By building it through the draft, and hiring Tom Cable to teach the zone blocking scheme, he had a full-proof plan to gel a young and talented unit.
Seattle has already their lost two rookie linemen due to knee injuries (OT James Carpenter, torn ACL and RG John Moffitt, torn MCL, PCL). The big news is Russell Okung is now out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle. It happened Thursday night in the 31 - 14 win over the Eagles.
This is a young offensive line with serious growing potential, but if they are going to grow, they need to get healthy first.
