AP Poll Is Out, Let the Debating Begin

Yes sir.  The Coaches' Poll was released earlier.  Now we can compare the two.  And all agree neither are right.  And all disagree on what should change.  This is major college football.

Both polls agree on the top three teams.  They just don't agree on order.  The Coaches' Poll has LSU at number 1, followed by Alabama at 2 and USC at 3.  The folks at AP have flipped numbers 1 and 2.  They have voted the Lane Kiffin led USC Trojans as the best team in the country.  It appears most people are projecting a USC vs. Bama/LSU National Championship game.  But that's why they play the game.
Oddly, all teams ranked 4 through 15 are mirror images in each poll.  Order as follows: Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, South Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Clemson, then Texas.

The only "new" note is Michigan received one first place vote.  Oklahoma also received one in the AP Poll but not Coaches'.  Eight additional teams (Virginia Tech, Nebraska, TCU, Stanford, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Boise State and Florida) were ranked in both polls.  Notre Dame at 24 and Auburn at 25 were ranked in the Coaches' Poll but not AP.  Ohio State at 18 and Louisville at 25 were only ranked by the AP.  It should be noted that because of Ohio State's current bowl ban, it cannot receive votes in the Coaches' Poll.
